<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an optimum write strategy with respect to a unknown optical disk, in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk device capable of setting an optimum write strategy also to the unknown optical disk in a short time is provided by comprising; a write strategy setting means for measuring the deviation of information recorded in a test area in an optical information recording medium and setting a write strategy; a write strategy determining means which records the information in the test area using the the write strategy set by the write strategy setting means, which re-evaluates the deviation of the recorded information and repeatedly performs the processing set by the write strategy setting means so that the deviation is within a predetermined limit, and which thereby determines the optimum write strategy and a write strategy storage means for storing the determined write strategy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
