The present invention relates to a method for estimating, from a platform (100), at least one parameter ( r min ; r min ; v max ; v max ) of an intruder, comprising the steps of:
- generating consecutive frames of image data at different times of said intruder by means of at least one passive sensor (210);
- determining a direction (101 from the platform (100) to the intruder (115) on the basis of the generated consecutive frames of image data;
- estimating a time period (TTG) remaining until a potential collision between the platform (100) and the intruder (115),
- estimating an angular extent (´ measured ) of the intruder (115), as viewed by the passive sensor (215), on the basis of the image data; and
- estimating a first relative location vector ( r min ) to a minimum intruder (110) associated with the intruder, and/or
- estimating a second relative location vector ( r max ) to a maximum intruder (120) associated with the intruder. The invention relates to an arrangement for generating input data to a sense-and-avoid system on-board a platform. The invention also relates to a computer programme and a computer programme product. The invention also relates to a platform carrying the arrangement. |
