The internal combustion engine has a throttle valve system (1) which is arranged between a cylinder head and intake pipes. The throttle valve system comprises multiple throttle valves (5) arranged in a throttle valve housing (3). The individual throttle valves are arranged in inner air flow connections (4) which are pivotably connected on the continuous shaft (7). The air flow connections are held on the shaft between the bearings (6) in external common throttle valve housing in a floating manner.
