<p>The method involves detecting backscattering of a light beam of headlights on a disturbing phenomenon of visibility, when headlights are in a lighting mode. A lighting range of the light beam of the headlights is increased with respect to an authorized maximum range according to the detected backscattering. Switching of the headlights is carried out in another lighting mode, when the backscattering reaches a determined threshold, where the threshold is determined in a manner that the visibility in the latter lighting mode is higher than that of the former lighting mode. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for automatic switching of a headlight to emit light beam for a motor vehicle from a lighting mode to another lighting mode (2) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for automatic switching of a headlight to emit light beam for a motor vehicle from a lighting mode to another lighting mode.</p> |
