The saw (1) has a saw blade retainer (10) for attaching a saw blade (4) to the saw without requiring a tool. The blade retainer includes a clamping element, a counter piece and a wedge standing in effective-connection with the clamping element. The saw blade includes a shaft positionable between the clamping element and the counter piece. The wedge is movable perpendicular to a movement direction of the saw blade. The clamping element is movable against the shaft of the saw blade by adjustment of the wedge.
