The present invention describes oral compositions comprising magnolia extracts, which are useful for the treatment of halitosis. The compositions are intended to remove microorganisms in the oral cavity causing bad breath, in convenient times by immediately releasing, in the mouth, the active principles contained in the magnolia extract. The compositions contain, in the magnolia extract, at least a ratio by weight of 60:30 of magnolol and honokiol corresponding to the total weight of the extract, allowing a better antimicrobial activity in the oral tract.
