PURPOSE: A power supply apparatus for a light emitting diode is provided to prevent the application of a voltage to at least one light emitting diode when the power supply apparatus is opened due to the breakage of the light emitting diode. CONSTITUTION: A voltage conversion unit(100) converts an input voltage to a pre-set voltage. The voltage conversion unit includes an inductor(L1), a MOS transistor(Q1), a diode(D1) and a capacitor(C1). A light emitting diode group(200) is connected with a light emitting diode which is turned on due to the voltage from the voltage conversion unit. A light emitting sensing unit(300) senses light from the light emitting diode group. A conversion activation unit(400) provides activation signal to the voltage conversion unit. |
