METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING CONTROL CHANNEL ELEMENT USING CHANNEL QUALITY INDICATOR

PURPOSE: A CCE detection method using a CQI of a terminal in a wireless communications system and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce power consumption of the terminal by reducing the detection time of a PDCCH(Physical Downlink Control Channel). CONSTITUTION: A CQI(channel quality indicator) comparator(405) compares CQI size of a present and a previous sub-frame. A CCE(Channel Control Element) controller(401) searches a CCE of a small size which is smaller than the size of the sub-frame. When the current sub-frame is smaller than the CQUI of the prior sub-frame, the CCE controller searches the CCE which is larger than the size of the CCE of the prior sub-frame.
