METHOD FOR ANALYZING ERROR PERFORMANCE OF CONVOLUTION CODE

PURPOSE: A method for analyzing an error performance of a convolution code is provided to very closely approach to a maximum of an actual error performance which a convolution code has, thereby analyzing a unique performance of the convolution code regardless of decoding algorithm. CONSTITUTION: An error analyzing device of a convolution code divides a route of the trellis diagram into a plurality of groups(S210). The device selects the minimum input(imind,N) among each groups of input weight(i)(S220). The device calculates an improve(d)(S230). The device calculates the c improve(d)(S240). The device calculates a maximum of the receive error probability(Pb) and maximum of an error probability(Pe)(S250). The device calculates maximun approximate values(Pbit,Pblock) of BER(Bit Error Rate) and BLER(Block Error Rate)(S260). The device analyzes an error performance of the convolution code (S270).
