[Also in Group XXXVI] In a detonator comprising an aluminium casing 18 fitting over the fusehead initiating composition applied to the conventional resistance wire (not shown), the bared ends of detonator wires 15, 16 for electrical connection to conductors 13, 14 are spirally disposed on the surface of an insulating plug 8 which fits into a complementary socket 9 (Group XXXVI) connected to the conductors 13, 14. The plug 8 is of insulating material, e.g. polythene or p.v.c., and is formed with flanges 19, 20 and 21 over which the casing 18 is crimped as shown at 22, 23 and 24.
