The cooling tower (1) of the present invention refers to a novel structure able to be adapted in an easy, simple and cost effective manner to evaporative devices (E), the Cooling tower (1) being formed by an arrangement preferably of a rectangular prism (1), which may be of a cylindrical shape, where the bottom of the inner portion thereof is used as a cistern. The base of a water pump (P) is located within the cistern. A plunger (P) is fixed above the water level (W). The Cooling tower (1) has two grooves with rectangular caps (3) also located at a height above the water level. The support (9) of the preformed paper (PP) is located above the upper portion of the caps (3). This novel support (12) design for supporting the preformed paper (PP) above the water pump (P) and the plunger provides a cistern more compact than the traditional cisterns, which turns the water cooling (W) into a more efficient action. Other improvements of this Cooling tower (1) are: the reduction of the prefor med paper (PP) amount (for an equipment of the same capacity, the traditional evaporative devices require 100% more preformed paper (PP)), the elimination of water waste by means of a bleed system, a further improvement is obtained by the capacity reduction of the water pump (P). A novel air inlet (AI) and air outlet (AO) configuration allows the external air to be directly accessed.
