METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING SKIN COLOR, AND DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS USING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A digital photographing device using color of the skin method of amendment and an apparatus thereof are provided to compensate only the skin area and the color of the skin by converting skin color distribution in color of the skin distribution of a PCA(Principal Components Analysis) space. CONSTITUTION: A facial area detector(73) detects the face range from the input image. A skin color extractor(74) extracts the color of the skin information from the detected face range. A PCA analyzer(75) analyzes the main component of the extracted color of the skin information. The principle component analysis part analyzes the main component to the PCA space. According to the color of the skin information reflected the color of a skin color calibrator(77) statement, the color of the skin of the input image is revised.
