PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for easily manufacturing semiconductor nanopowder by wire explosion in liquid are provided to manufacture semiconductor nanopowder of nano size by wire explosion of a semiconductor member. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing semiconductor nanopowder by wire explosion in liquid comprises: a step of preparing a semiconductor member(30) between a pair of electrodes in a chamber; a step of supplying electric energy between a pair of electrodes; and a step of performing wire explosion of the semiconductor member in liquid by supplied electric energy. An apparatus for manufacturing semiconductor nanopowder by wire explosion in liquid comprises: a pair of chamber(10) which contains liquid thereinside; a pair of electrodes(20) which is dipped in liquid inside the chamber; and a power supply for providing electric energy of high voltage.
