PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to guarantee a short circuit due to an upper case including an insulation layer and good insulation property and to enable the upper case to be more strongly combined with the secondary battery using a double-sided insulating tape. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises; a bare cell; a protective circuit module including a circuit board(121); an upper case(130) of metal material which includes a cover plate covering the circuit board; and a case insulating layer(130b) which is formed on the outer side of the cover plate of the upper case. The cover plate includes a lower side which is opposite to the circuit module. The case insulating layer is formed on the lower side o the cover plate. |
