PURPOSE: A method for downloading data of a home network system is provided to recognize that a packet is re-received, and to re-receive and store the packet if an error is produced, then to inform a user that a normal packet is received if the packet is normally received, thereby preventing a data downloading error. CONSTITUTION: A modem initializes a packet number comparison variable as '1'(S11). The modem clears a packet reception flag in order to satisfy a condition for receiving a packet(S12). The modem perceives whether the packet is received(S13). If so, the modem decides whether a received packet number is '1'(S14). If so, the modem increases the packet to prepare a next packet(S15). The modem decides whether a packet transmission frequency is '1'(S16). If so, the modem stores the corresponding packet(S17), transmits a response message(S18), and sets the packet reception flag(S19). The modem decides whether a final packet is completely received(S20). If so, the modem completes the procedure. |
