PURPOSE: A digital camera having an optical pointing device for more rapidly embodying the various functions of a digital camera is provided to satisfy the various requests and implement convenient use by applying the light pointing device. CONSTITUTION: A pickup unit(20) is included in the front side of a camera body(10). A display screen(30) is included in the back side of the camera body. A memory stores the image recording through the charge coupled device. A light pointing device(60) is included in the camera body. The light pointing device is created the pointer in the display screen in order to operate camera. The light source of the light pointing device outputs the subject sensing light.
