PURPOSE: A hydraulic power steering system of a vehicle is provided to prevent the loss of a hydraulic pump due to the leakage of working fluid between a left cylinder and a right cylinder by including a check valve in a piston in the inside of a tube of the cylinders. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic power steering system for a vehicle comprises: a rack bar(140) which switches the rotational motion of the steering wheel to the linear motion; a cylinder tube(137) which comprises a left cylinder(280) which has a section wherein the rack bar is reciprocated in the inside, a left port(215), and a right port(225); a piston(230) which includes a check valve(240), is coupled to the rack bar, and transfers the rack bar to the left and right with the fluid pressure of working fluid; and an oil seal(270) which is coupled to both side ends of the cylinder tube in which the piston reciprocates.
