FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to procedure for manufacture of ball-and-socket hinge and to ball-and-socket hinge with specific design of insertion. The ball-and-socket hinge consists of pin (3, 4) at one end of which there is made ball (4) opened on one side of case (7) wherein ball (4) is installed. Continuously lubricated spherical insertion (1, 1') is located between case (7) and ball (4). Sealing jacket (8) covers an opened side of case (7) in the area of transition between ball (4) and rod (3) of pin (3, 4) projecting from case (7). Insertion (1, 1') has convex elevation (1') in the area of pole (5) of ball (4); in the are of this elevation there is gap (9) between internal contour of insertion (1, 1') and ball (4). Ribbing is made in the area of elevation (1') on internal surface of insertion (1, 1'). Also here is disclosed the procedure for fabrication of the above described ball-and-socket hinge. The procedure consists in fabricating case (7) by injecting or casting, and in enveloping ball (4) with donned on it insertion (1, 1') with metal or polymer material. Insertion (1, 1') has elevation (1') in the area of ball pole (5); the elevation is flexible to pressure actuated in the process of injection or casting. Upon completion of injecting or casting the elevation bends outside relative to the rest spherical shape of the insertion in such a way, that insertion (1, 1') adjoins with its internal contour to the ball not along its whole surface, but with gap (9) in the area of elevation (1'). Finally sealing jacket (8) is added to the sealing system of the hinge. ^ EFFECT: fabrication of completely assembled ball-and-socket hinge with low torque and overturning moment. ^ 10 cl, 5 dwg |
