This invention relates to production of aluminum sulfate for uses as special coagulant for purification of drinking water and industrial water. The offered method for obtaining aluminum sulfate contains treating of aluminum hydroxide with concentrated sulfuric acid in presence of water, and treating is realized at a temperature of 120 centigrade to 140 centigrade. Coagulant is further stirred and gradually and evenly cooled to temperature of 35 to 60 centigrade, wherein aluminum sulfate is obtained at mole ratio of aluminum hydroxide to concentrated sulfuric acid at range as 1:1.7 and mole ratio of aluminum hydroxide to water at a range as 1:4.7. |
