FIELD: physics, acoustics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method relates to playback of two- or multi-channel audio recording. Disclosed method of playing back an audio recording with simulation of acoustic characteristics of recording conditions involves testing features of the spatial acoustic field using apparatus for a two-, multi-channel system of spatially distributed channels, transmission of audio signals and picking up responses to determine differences in the effect of characteristic acoustic properties of the room, mutual spatial arrangement of sources and receivers of audio signals on characteristics of the acoustic field. ^ EFFECT: determination of differences in features of spatial acoustic fields existing in different recording and playback conditions according to this invention enables to correct parametric data of the tonal characteristic when playing back an audio recording in order to obtain an acoustic field similar to that which existed during recording. ^ 4 dwg |
