摘要 PURPOSE: A semiconductor device and a method for arranging cell blocks thereof are provided to implement a high packing density of a chip area by designing a cell block in an L-shape and arranging a cell block in a diagonal direction to prevent a space between cell blocks. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of L-shaped cell blocks(100) comprises decoders which are arranged in rows and columns of a cell array. A plurality of L-shaped cell blocks are oriented in an oblique direction crossing with the rows and columns. A first decoder is adjacent to the side connecting a first vertex and a second vertex and is arranged in a transverse direction. A second decoder is adjacent to the side connecting a third and fourth vertexes and is arranged in a longitudinal direction. A first contact region is adjacent to the first decoder and is arranged in the direction of the columns. A second contact region is adjacent to the second decoder and is arranged in the direction of the rows.
