摘要 <p>PURPOSE: An internal combustion engine with two exhaust gas turbochargers connected in series is provided to reduce the emission of nitrogen oxide by recirculating exhaust gas and employing an exhaust gas scrubber installed in the exhaust gas recirculation line. CONSTITUTION: An internal combustion engine with two exhaust gas turbochargers connected in series comprises an exhaust gas recirculation line(40). The exhaust gas recirculation line is branched from the upper stream of an exhaust steam turbine(36) of an exhaust gas turbo supercharger, which is near to the engine, to an exhaust gas line(32) and connected to the inside of a suction tube(18) between two compressors(20,24) of exhaust gas turbo superchargers(22,26). A ventilation gas scrubber(44) for cooling and moistening the exhaust gas flow recirculated into the suction tube through the exhaust gas recirculation line is arranged in the exhaust gas recirculation line.</p>
