PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing ginsenoside aglycone protopanaxadiol is provided to obtain ginsenoside aglycone protopanaxadiol in a short time and use as a therapeutic agent to drug resistance cancer. CONSTITUTION: A composition for manufacturing ginsenoside aglycone protopanaxadiol contains perchloric acid. The optimal temperature of the perchloric acid is 70-120°C. The ginsenoside aglycone protopanaxadiol is obtained by hydrolyzing ginsenoside Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, or protopanaxadiol ginsenoside mixture under the presence of perchloric acid. The mixture is a ginseng saponin mixture or extract obtained from Korean ginseng, American Ginseng, panax japonicus, himalaya ginseng, or Vietnam ginseng. The hydrolysis is performed at 70-100°C for 1-30 minutes. |
