<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device which allows the manufacturing cost thereof to be reduced and the productivity thereof to be improved by decreasing the number of components and the number of processes for manufacture, and to provide a method of manufacturing the optical semiconductor device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor device includes a light emitting element 5 which has a first electrode 5a1 disposed on a first surface 5a and a second electrode 5b1 disposed on a second surface 5b opposed to the first surface 5a, a first conductive member 6a connected to the first surface 5a, a second conductivity member 6b connected to the second surface 5b, a first external electrode 2a connected to the first conductive member 6a, a second external electrode 2b connected to the second conductive member 6b, and an enclosure 3 for sealing the light emitting element 5, the first conductive member 6a and second conductive member 6b between the first external electrode 2a and second electrode 2b and transmitting light from the light emitting element 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
