<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient and economical chill tray evaporator reducing variation of shapes and sizes of ice produced in the chill tray evaporator by an inexpensive configuration and improving a heat transfer rate between ice making water and a refrigerant. <P>SOLUTION: Since cut grooves 7a are applied to a portion of a connection plate 7 with which the refrigerant R comes into contact by knurling processing, a heat movement route can be shortened and the heat conduction area can be enlarged. Thus, the heat transfer rate from ice making water W to the refrigerant R can be improved.
