<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the accuracy of recognizing a wireless tag present in an area to be read, without providing additional functions such as imaging function and image processing function. <P>SOLUTION: A target tag storage unit for storing tag data of a wireless tag 5 present in a predetermined area 3E to be read, and a non-target tag storage unit for storing at least the identification information of the wireless tag 5 present outside areas 3A-3D, 3F-3I to be read which surround the area to be read are provided. A wireless tag reading apparatus 1 adds at least the identification information of the tag data read from the wireless tag 5 via an antenna to the non-target tag storage unit.
