<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce downtime, while reducing the deterioration in consumables by properly extending the timing of a continuous printing, even in an image forming apparatus for detecting a reference mark. <P>SOLUTION: A first control section controls the rotation of an intermediate transfer body. A second control section outputs image data to the first control section in synchronization with a reference signal. Further, the second control section includes a print reservation means, a print start instruction means and a delay informing means. The print reservation means reserves a print operation in the first control section by recording medium, before the print operation is started. The print start instruction means transmits a reserved print start instruction to the first control section. The delay informing means informs the first control section that the transmission of the print start instruction is delayed. The first control section includes an adjustment means adjusting the timing of generating the reference signal in a reference signal generating means, to continue the continuous printing, when it is informed that the transmission of the print start instruction is delayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
