<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a lattice body to be surely assembled even by hand and used immediately after being assembled. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this lattice body 1, a plurality of first and second X-direction strip-shaped plates 2 and 3 elongated in an arbitrary X-direction, and a plurality of first and second Y-direction strip-shaped plates 4 and 5 elongated in a Y-direction crossing the X-direction are latticed. In a method for assembling the lattice body 1, all the first X-direction strip-shaped plates 2 are arranged at mutual spacings. Subsequently, a notch of the first X-direction strip-shaped plate 2 and a notch of the first Y-direction strip-shaped plate 4 are fitted to each other, so that all the first Y-direction strip-shaped plates 4 can be arranged. After that, the notch of the first Y-direction strip-shaped plate 4 and a notch of the second X-direction strip-shaped plate 3 are fitted to each other, so that all the second X-direction strip-shaped plates 3 can be arranged. Subsequently, when the second Y-direction strip shaped plate 5 is inserted from the Y-direction via the inside of the notch 22a of the first X-direction strip-shaped plate 2 and that of the notch 23a of the second X-direction strip-shaped plate 3, the lattice body 1 is completed.
