<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covered yarn soft in touch feeling, good in thermal insulation and good in skin touch, to provide a method and an apparatus for producing the same, and to provide high-stretch clothing using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The covered yarn is such that: a force-twisted appending yarn of synthetic fibers is put around the outer circumference of an elastic yarn 32 extended to a predetermined extension rate; in this condition the elastic yarn 32 and the appending yarn are seamed by a wrapping yarn of synthetic fiber; when the elastic yarn 32 is made nonextended, seamed portions 45 made of the wrapping yarn and kinked fluff portions 46 made of the appending yarn are formed around the outer circumference of the elastic yarn 32.
