A golf club (20), components therefore, and a method for manufacturing the components is disclosed herein. The golf club (20) has removable components includes a club head (22), a shaft (24), and a connection assembly (44). The club head (22) includes a hosel (38) having an upper treaded portion (60) and a lower portion (62) with a ribbed cross-section. The connection assembly (44) includes a sleeve (46) mounted on the tip end of the shaft (24) and a screw-cap (48). The sleeve (46), which has an aperture for receiving the tip end of the shaft (24), includes a lower section (72) that has a multi-faceted surface for engaging the lower portion (62) of the hosel (38). |
