PURPOSE: A device for recognizing a virtual lane for applying virtual lane scheme to an optical network and a method thereof are provided to recognize and sort the virtual lane in a receiver by using MFAS(Mulit-Frame Alignment Signal) signal without modifying the standard frame of super high-speed OTUk. CONSTITUTION: A framer(710) takes charge of frame formation of an optical transport network signal and processing of an optical transport network signal. A frame decomposition device(720) decomposes frame to the fixed size to comprise the FAS(Frame Alignment Signal) and MFAS(Multi-Frame Alignment Signal) which will be transmitted into one block. While the rotation direction of the virtual lane is changed periodically, a lane recognizing rotation device(730) distributes a disassembled frame block to a plurality of virtual lanes as a round-robin mode. |
