<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems; a controller must know whether or not a particular component, such as a DVI receiver, is installed, so that appropriate control can be effectuated, if the DVI receiver is installed, the controller may also need to know if DVI video is currently applied to the installed DVI circuitry. <P>SOLUTION: The video system includes: a switch having an input port that receives a signal from a terminal coupled to an optional video receiver circuit if the optional video receiver circuit is installed in the video system; and the controller that is coupled to the switch to determine the presence or absence of the optional video receiver circuit in the video system by examining the logic state of the signal, and determine whether or not the video signal is applied to the optional video receiver circuit on the basis of the detected logic state of the signal when the optional video receiver circuit is installed in the video system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
