<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability while copy control is performed in the case where a digital broadcast program which permits one-generation recording (Copy One Generation) is recorded. <P>SOLUTION: The control method is intended for use in a receiver which receives digital content and copy control information of the digital contents. When the received copy control information has copy generation information indicating one-generation copy, if a recording medium is a removable recording medium, the digital content is recorded on the recording medium while setting the digital content in a copy-prohibited state. When a recording medium is a built-in recording medium which records locally encrypted digital content, if the received copy control information indicates prohibition of a plurality of copies, the digital content on the recording medium is recorded while setting the digital content in the copy-prohibited state, or if the received copy control information indicates permission of a plurality of copies, the digital content is recorded on the recording medium while setting the digital content in the copy-allowed state in which the digital content can be copied up to a predetermined number of times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
