<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell provided with a substrate excellent in strength and water vapor barrier property under high humidity and small in difference of coefficient of thermal expansion between MD and TD. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell is constituted of: at least one power generation layer selected from a group composed of an amorphous silicon layer, a polycrystalline silicon layer, and a polycrystalline compound layer; a liquid crystalline polyester layer; and a conductive layer. The liquid crystalline polyester layer is formed from solvent-soluble liquid crystalline polyester. It is preferable that the liquid crystalline polyester layer is a liquid crystalline polyester film formed from solvent-soluble liquid crystalline polyester, or a prepreg formed from liquid crystalline polyester and a fiber sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
