<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while achieving the prescribed quantity of data compression in display data while suppressing the complication of processing or the increase of a circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A compression processing part 14 of a display data processor divides the display data of a color image into planes with respective RGB color components, and calculates a difference value between each pixel and its adjacent pixels in a scanning direction, and sets a storage method of compression data corresponding to the size of the difference value by determining the difference value for every prescribed processing pixel unit, and stores compression information data showing the storage method of compression data in a buffer 36 for compression information, and stores the compression data corresponding to the compression information data in a buffer 35 for compression data. When any difference value exceeds a prescribed threshold, the original data of each pixel is defined as compression data, and when all the difference values are equal to or less than a threshold, the difference value of each pixel is defined as compression data, and when all the difference values are 0, it is determined that there is no compression data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
