PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a recording medium is transferred out of the position where it is originally transferred, the relative position between the recording medium and head units becomes inconstant, and an image is not formed in an intended position of the recording medium. SOLUTION: A recording position correction device has the head units 10 and 20 for jetting a liquid to the recording medium P transferred on a transfer surface 50, detection sections S1 to S8 for detecting the position of the recording medium P to be transferred, and a transfer information computing section 91 for computing transfer information showing the transfer condition of the recording medium P on the basis of the position of the recording medium P detected by the detection sections S1 to S8. The device has a control section 90 for carrying out control the head units 10 and 20 to move in the transfer width direction Y and to rotate around θ rotary shafts 13 on the basis of the transfer information.
