A modular serving system is made up of a planetary main course container and at least one satellite side container. The planetary main course container has a lower support surface and a first interfacing surface. The satellite side serving container has a lower support surface and a second interfacing surface for rigid interconnection with the first interfacing surface. When the first and second interfacing surfaces are interconnected, each container presents a lower support surface oriented in a common horizontal plane with the planetary main course container such that, when the assembly is placed on a flat surface, the lower support surfaces of each container contributes to support of the weight of the entire assembly. |
