PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening or closing a manuscript pressing plate and office equipment using the same are provided to safely repair, maintain, and inspect due to a manuscript pressing plate which is not separated from a frame body by a separation preventing member. CONSTITUTION: A manuscript pressing plate opening/closing device(E) comprises: a case(1) which is installed in order to open/close to the upward and downward; a support member(4) which fits a hinge pin in the upper side of the case and supports a manuscript pressing plate to be opened and closed; an elastic unit which is installed in order to apply a force to the support member toward the manuscript pressing plate; a cam unit which is installed between the case and the support member and operates the elastic unit to control the rotation of the support member; and a separation preventing member which is installed in the case. |
