PURPOSE: A dual panel type organic electro luminescent device and a method of fabricating the same are provided to expand the lifespan of an organic electroluminescent layer by suppressing shrinkage due to the infiltration of moisture and oxygen into the organic electroluminescent layer. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pixel regions(P) are defined on a first substrate. A first electrode(153) is formed over the inner side of the first substrate. A buffer pattern is formed on the interface of each pixel region. A partition(160) surrounds each pixel region. An organic electroluminescent layer(165) is formed in the lower part of the first electrode. A second electrode(170) is formed in the lower part of the organic electroluminescent layer. A transparent conductive film(175) covers a second electrode. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. A driving thin film transistor is connected to a switching transistor. A protective layer(125) comprises a drain contact hole(127).
