摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A printed circuit board for an optical waveguide and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simultaneously enhance profitability and efficiency by reducing an amount of core material usage by forming an insulating layer that has a penetration hole first and filling and patterning the core material only within the penetration hole, and thereby forming a core unit. CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer(110) has a penetration hole that is laminated on a base substrate. A lower cladding layer(530) is formed in the lower inner part of the penetration hole. A core unit(730) is formed on the lower cladding layer. An upper clading layer(930) is formed in the upper part of the core unit and the lower cladding layer. The upper cladding layer surrounds an open surface of the core unit. The base substrate comprises a light penetrating unit, which is formed in the lower part of the penetration hole.</p>
