<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that enables a photographer to look at a display which is easy to view display, even in a bright surrounding environment, or the like, without having to perform special operations. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device includes a photometric unit 170 for measuring the brightness of a luminous flux through a photographic lens 102, an optical member 111 for guiding the luminous flux at least to the side of optical finder units 105, 109 and 112, an imaging element 106, and an external display means 107. While the external display means 107 displays information, a shielding state in which guiding of the luminous flux to the photometric unit 170 can be shielded substantially shielded. In the shielded state, the photometric unit 170 measures the brightness of outdoor daylight that is made incident through a finder lens 109 of the optical finder units, and the brightness of the external displaying means 107 that currently displays the information can be controlled, on the basis of the obtained photometric value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
