PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device which makes a descending motion of a shutter curtain mechanically locked in a door-opened state and unlocked in a door-closed state, and which has the shutter curtain and a wind door structurally juxtaposed. SOLUTION: In this shutter device 1, one side of the ascendable/descendable shutter curtain 2 is equipped with the wing door 7; and a guide groove 7a for guiding the ascent/descent of the one side of the shutter curtain 2 is vertically provided at the opening/closing end of the wing door 7. The shutter device 1 enables the shutter curtain 2 to descend along the guide groove 7a by the full closing of the wing door 7. The shutter device includes a locking means which mechanically locks the descent of the shutter curtain 2 in the opened or semi-opened state of the wing door 7, and an unlocking means which allows the one side of the shutter curtain 2 to descend along the guide groove 7a, by unlocking the locking means when the wing door 7 is closed.
