PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a smooth apparatus operation by achieving improvement in usability of a user in communication using near-field radio communication. SOLUTION: A peripheral apparatus includes NFC-R/Ws 11, 12 respectively as an interface for connecting to a network 8 and a local interface for connecting by using radio waves. When the peripheral apparatus is accessed from a device, for example, an IC card via the NFC-R/Ws 11, 12 by near-field radio communication, and utilization of the peripheral apparatus starting from authentication operation of an NFC token 10 used in the near-field radio communication is started, the peripheral apparatus displays utilization start information regarding the peripheral apparatus, for example, details and procedures or the like of communication contents on an operation display part 13 of an image forming device 1 so as to allow a user to comprehend a utilization state of the peripheral apparatus to be connected.
