PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a space and to reduce a floor area with respect to a liquid discharge apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid discharge apparatus 100 is provided for drawing pictures on a workpiece 5 by relative movement of a discharge head for discharging liquid, and a work stage 11 capable of mounting the workpiece 5. The apparatus includes a stage moving device 10 for moving the work stage 11 in a fixed direction and a discharge head moving device 20 for moving the discharge head in a fixed direction over the work stage 11, wherein the discharge head moving device 20 is arranged so as to move the discharge head in parallel with the moving direction of the work stage 11.
