<p>The building the carcass structure in the manufacturing of a tyre for vehicle wheels comprises the step of associating, at each end edge (2a, 2b) of a carcass ply (2) laying on a forming support (150), at least one respective annular reinforcing structure (Ia, Ib) obtained by depositing at least one respective reinforcing element (5a, 5b). The deposition of said at least one respective reinforcing element (5a, 5b) comprises the steps of feeding a continuous reinforced band-like element (4) at a cutting unit (30), cutting to size at least one first reinforcing element (5a) from the continuous reinforced band-like element (4), moving the first reinforcing element (5a) from the cutting unit (30) towards a first end edge (2a) of the carcass ply, positioning the first reinforcing element (5a) on said first end edge (2a), cutting to size at least one second reinforcing element (5b) from the continuous reinforced band-like element (4), moving the second reinforcing element (5b) from the cutting unit (30) towards a second end edge (2b) of the carcass ply (2) opposite said first end edge (2a), positioning the second reinforcing element (5b) on said other end edge (2b).</p> |
