The multi-layer filter material has three layers, where the former layer is of a wet fleece made of cellulose or synthetic fibers or a mixture. The latter layer is a melt-blown fleece and the third layer is an open pore spun fleece. The former and latter layer have a filter side and a upper side each, where the filter side of the former layer is connected with the upper side of the latter layer.
