The device has a gearbox housing comprising a parking lock wheel, pawl (1), lock element (2) i.e. detent, and a guide plate (4), where the pawl engages the parking lock wheel during engagement of a parking lock and is closely locked by the lock element. The pawl is detached from the parking lock wheel during disengagement of the parking lock. The pawl is positively secured during detachment of the parking lock. A releasing element (8) i.e. connecting rod, is fastened to the lock element.
