METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING SIMILAR WORD WITH INPUT STRING

PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing a synonym for Korean writing of foreign language or corresponding foreign language pronunciation as a recommendation query are provided to supply similar foreign language as a recommendation query although a user does not know exact foreign language. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether an input character string is the first language or the second language(S310). If the input character string is the second language, the edit distance between character strings that pronunciation of candidate character strings is written by the second language and the inputted character string is calculated(S330). Candidate character strings written by the first language corresponding to character strings written by the second language are determined as a synonym of the input character string(S340). The determined synonym is provided to a user terminal as a recommendation query(S350).
