<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing various superelastic endodontic instruments such as a file using twisting and grinding technique. <P>SOLUTION: The superelastic endodontic instrument has a longitudinal axial line and is formed by elastic deformation of a raw material formed of a superelastic material. The instrument is formed by: a step to modify the superelastic material of the raw material to an austenite phase; a step to twist the raw material centering on the longitudinal axial line to form an instrument with a screw type tip; and a step to carry out heat treatment on the twisted raw material to optimize the superelasticity of the instrument. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
