<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing attaining operations free from clearance and distortion. <P>SOLUTION: Outside jacket surfaces 12a, 12b of an outer ring 2 have two grooves 10, 11 circulating in the axial direction. The first part 12a of the outside jacket surface present between both grooves 10, 11 in the axial direction is retreated in the radial direction relative to the second part 12b of the outside jacket surface present outside the groove in the axial direction. The outer ring 2 has a substantially constant thickness within a range of the first part 12a of the outside jacket surface. Within 0.5 to 1.5 of a ratio between a radial wall thickness B and an axial wall thickness A of each groove 10, 11, the roller bearing has an outer ring elastic and flexible in the radial direction in which an axial length longer than that of a standard bearing is not required and deviation in the radial direction is caused to prevent the rolling body raceway from losing the original shape when a specified load is applied to the rolling body raceway of the outer ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
